The Donald (???) is the GOP's '12 frontrunner

New poll shows him out in front, while Pawlenty and Bachmann lag far behind.

A poll released Friday shows that real estate mogul/TV host Donald Trump, well, trumps the field of possible Repubblican candidates among GOP voters who say they'll take part in next year's primaries.

The survey by PPP, a Democratic polling firm from North Carolina, found Trump leading teh field with 26 percent support of those polled. He has a double-digit lead over Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee, who have led in other recent polls.

Not great news for Minnesota's Tim Pawlenty and Michele Bachmann, both of whom were supported by just 4 percent of Republican voters. That's consistent with their single-digit showings in other recent polls.

Take Trump out of the mix and their showing improves a tiny bit, to 6 percent.

The full results of the poll can be read here.
