Leia lays it out

Carrie Fisher says that, yes, she'll be in the new "Star Wars" film. Asked by Palm Beach Illustrated what Leia will be like, Fisher said: "Elderly. She's in an intergalactic old folks' home." She says she'll be sporting "the bagel buns and the bikini, because probably she has sundowners syndrome. At sundown, she thinks that she's twenty-something. And she puts it on and gets institutionalized." We're certain that most of this — save, we hope, for the initial "yes" — is Fisher poking fun at the fanboys.

The final reel

Fisher's cohort Harrison Ford will play a legendary newscaster in "Anchorman 2." … Jon Stewart will take a four-month leave of absence from "The Daily Show" to direct the drama "Rosewater," from his own screenplay. … Alejandro González Iñárritu has cast Michael Keaton, Emma Stone, Naomi Watts and Zach Galifianakis in "Birdman," based on a Raymond Chandler story. … Sam Mendes says theater work will keep him from directing the next Bond film.
