Toying with affection

Pixar's John Lasseter says "Toy Story 4," due in 2017, will focus on Buzz and Woody's search for Bo Peep, who apparently was sold at a yard sale. "We are doing a type of story we haven't done before [in the franchise]: a love story," Lasseter said, saying the story line was inspired by his relationship with his wife. Straight onto FX

It also managed to get the exclusive rights to "Pixels," after what we assume was a less-than-heated bidding war.

Water under the bridge

On the 20th anniversary of the notorious flop "Waterworld," former Entertainment Weekly reporter/current blogger Jeffrey Wells tweeted an apology to Kevin Costner for his bad review. Costner was magnanimous (or deluded) in his reply: "I'm not sure you know how beloved the movie is around the world. I know that people might think of 'Waterworld' as a low point for me. It wasn't. … The movie with all its imperfections was a joy for me."
