Spring expo

Gather indoor and outdoor ideas at the Plymouth Yard and Garden Expo on Friday and Saturday at Plymouth Creek Fieldhouse, 14800 34th Av. N., Plymouth. The event features lawn, garden and home improvement pros, displays, kids' activities and a farmers market. Hours are 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Plants decorating the fieldhouse will be sold at 1 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $5. Ages 16 and under admitted free. Call 763-509-5000.

Native landscapes

Wild Ones plant experts can help you go native. Bring your ideas, questions, sketches and photos and find out how to design prairie-style front or boulevard gardens, woodland, habitat and rain gardens, as well as choosing trees and shrubs. The free "Table Topics" program is from 7 to 8:45 p.m. April 16 at Wood Lake Nature Center, 6710 Lake Shore Dr., Richfield. Call 612-293-3833.
