HOLIDAY

Eclectic, ambience-plucking neo-twang band Roma di Luna sparkled brightly at its inaugural holiday show last year, and it's returning this year with a Christmas EP. Dig the versions of "Blue Christmas" and "Silent Night" on the group's MySpace page to get a taste of the original, stirring holiday flavor. Led by husband-wife singers Alexei and Channy Moon Casselle (pictured), RdL's full septet lineup includes guitarist J.G. Everest and Spaghetti Western String Co. picker Michael Rossetto. Angelic-voiced folkie Eliza Blue opens. (7:30 p.m. Wed., Cedar Cultural Center. All ages. $10-$12.) (C.R.)

Since he left Lorie Line's Pop Chamber Orchestra, Robert Robinson has been lighting up Midwest holiday stages with his magnificent voice for an entire concert. His fourth annual seasonal trek has two more shows. (7:30 p.m. Wed. Buffalo Performing Arts Center, $25.) (J.B.)

JAZZ Whether playing evocative "cool school" trumpet or singing in his plaintive voice, no one ever reveled in wistful jazz melancholia quite like the legendary Chet Baker, who managed a fruitful career despite being a major mess offstage. Spitfire trumpeter Steve Kenny has a romantic side to his own playing, and it should be in full flower in his "Tribute to Chet Baker," with warm songs to counter the tundra cold, including "My Funny Valentine," "Let's Get Lost" and, if we're lucky, the gorgeous "Summer Sketch" or the jaunty "Happy Little Sunbeam." (9 p.m. Wed., Artists' Quarter. $5.) (T.S.)
