If the previous post left you asking "why, why can't someone put up some original newspaper photos of the bygone, forgotten Auditorium's architectural details?" I am here to help. I went looking for more on "Peacock Alley," found nothing, but turned up some original shots of the interiors. Here's the ticket booth: everyone had to use this one. This . . . one.

The lights: lots of bulbs. Lots of glare. Can't imagine it cast subtle, indirect lighting:

The interior: there are many shots of the place jam-packed; this one omits the bleachers, but gives you a feel for the scale. It's a "Hunting and Fishing Show" - no exhibits, it seems, just lots of people watching strange pageants on stage. Brought to you by the Star!
