'Harvey'
Opening: Playwright Mary Chase won a Pulitzer Prize in 1945 for this comedy about a guy and his imaginary rabbit friend. That's important to mention because today "Harvey" is often considered too old-fashioned for even community and high school theater. David Kelly, a regular at Oregon Shakespeare Festival, leads the Guthrie cast as Elwood P. Dowd. Other familiar names include Ansa Akyea, Ashley Rose Montondo, Sally Wingert and Greta Oglesby. Libby Appel, former artistic director at Oregon, stages this production. (7:30 p.m. Fri.-Sat., 1 & 7 p.m. Sun., 7:30 p.m. Tue.-Thu., 1 p.m. Wed. Ends May 15. 818 S. 2nd St., Mpls. $29-$72. 612-377-2224 or guthrietheater.org)
