Vikings writer Mark Craig wrote an entertaining if sobering piece today on the possibility that this Vikings squad is the worst in team history. For our money, it's going to take a lot to top the 3-13 Les Steckel squad that was blown out routinely. But if Minnesota manages to lose its final six games -- hardly impossible -- this version of the Vikings will, in fact, finish with the worst record in team history. It begs the question: What are the worst teams not just in Vikings history but the entire history of Minnesota sports?

It was either that or more Peterson/Mauer talk (kidding, of course).

We leave the other subjects to you in the comments.

Enjoy the holiday weekend ... Turkey of the Year comes out tomorrow via Mr. Reusse, and some of you might know we have a friendly wager on it with Local Quipster. It involves consuming bacon either way, so it's pretty much win-win. But still, we eagerly (as always) anticipate that tradition.
