Randy Moss had his first press conference with the Titans today (full transcript on the link). Let's look at his opening remarks there and compare them (below) with his opening remarks in Minnesota ... last month. Tennessee Randy:

I'm going to give y'all maybe two, not more than three questions, but I just want to start off and let my family know, my momma, my brother, my sister your baby brother, your baby boy is good. I've been through a lot in the last couple of weeks. Like I said, I've got these broad shoulders; I can carry a lot of weight. I feel good about the acquisition of Coach Fisher getting me here. The process of getting here has been kind of crazy. I left a lot of good friends, a lot of good guys in Minnesota and I'm sorry it didn't work out. The show must go on. I keep saying time and time again, this is a business. I think when people start understanding the business side of football it will make it a better league. Like I said, I would just like to thank my family and friends for sending out calls and texts and everything positive. To all my critics, you wouldn't be critics; you've got to get paid to talk negative. I look forward to just coming out here and helping this team, do whatever I can, whatever my role is, is what I'm going to do. Hopefully I fit into Coach Fisher's team and hopefully just try to go out here and make some plays to keep winning.

Later on, after being asked a question: I made Minnesota my home. I love being there. It just didn't work out. I have my own beliefs and what I believe in and Coach (Childress) had his. Am I bitter or mad that he let me go in the organization? No.

Minnesota Randy:

Before I start off with any questions, I'm very fortunate to be back where it all started. It's been a hectic last 48 hours and I didn't know what to expect. But I'm back home and it feels weird knowing I was just in New England trying to make things happen and just overnight get traded back home. I thought about this, time and time again about how this thing was going to play out. Was the love for me still here in Minnesota and all I've seen is nothing but positives. So to all the Vikings fans and that's coming to the Metrodome — put you No. 84 jerseys back on because I think it's going to be a fun ride. It felt good to be out there today. I've watched these guys from afar — Williams brothers, Brett [Favre], [Steve] Hutchinson, [Bryant] McKinnie, I've watched this team, I've paid attention to the team and the success they've had over the years. And by bringing me back I just want to see if we can get this thing done. I know we take it one game at a time, I know they came up one game short last year. So, hopefully no one in this organization is looking at a bigger picture because this game Monday night we have the New York Jets so we'll take it one game at a time and see what happens at the end of the season.

He has his own beliefs and Brad Childress has his. That might be the understatement of the century, no?
