Stu has promised to bring an end to swelling page view totals and crazy comment threads with his Hunt Down of ex-North Stars player Brian Propp. Stu? ---------------------

Name: Brian Propp Claim to Fame, Minnesota: the NHL veteran was a key member of the 1990-1991 Minnesota North Stars hockey concern, tallying 73 points for the eventual Stanley Cup runners-up. He played with the North Stars through the end of the 1992-93 season. Claim to Fame, Everywhere Else: Propp began and spent the majority of his career with the Philadelphia Flyers, and is in the franchise's Hall of Fame. He also clocked time briefly with the Boston Bruins and Hartford Whalers, and played for the legendary Brandon Wheat Kings junior hockey team. (They are not to be confused with The Wheat Kings, "Canada's premier tribute to the Tragically Hip.") In addition to the Flyers' HoF, Propp is in the Saskatchewan Rural Hockey Hall of Fame and the Saskatchewan Provincial Hall of Fame. He is believed to be the only member of those Halls of Fame not named Gord. Where He Is Now: his website indicates that he is the vice president of sales for the Judge Group, a Philadelphia-based technology consulting firm. Is He On Twitter: the guffaw26 Twitter account appears to belong to him. If I'm reading it correctly, if you hold a charity golf tournament in the greater Philadelphia area, Brian Propp is so there. Glorious Randomness: although he was a left winger on the ice, off the ice Propp ran as a Republican for a seat in the New Jersey State Assembly in 2007. As with the five Stanley Cup teams he played for, he lost.
