TFD: Cedric Benson to the Packers?

Good times.

August 10, 2012 at 10:46PM

Per ESPN.com, it sounds as though the Packers are tired of messing around with a rotating cast of oft-injured and/or mediocre running backs and are going to sign Cedric Benson. Begrudgingly, we we admit this is a very good idea that only makes the Packers stronger.

Benson has rushed for at least 1,000 yards each of the past three seasons. While he has a wee case of the fumbles -- 12 in the past two seasons combined -- he is an upgrade and should thrive in that offense.

/Not a reverse jinx unless it works.
