The victim of fatal gunfire late one night this week is a 17-year-old Minneapolis boy who was shot in the chest, authorities said.
Maurice O. Brown was shot late Tuesday, and his body was found outside in the 2200 block of 13th Avenue South, according to the Hennepin County medical examiner's office.
There had been no arrests as of Thursday in the killing, which police have said was not a random act.
Shot-detection technology alerted police to the gunfire.
