A motorcyclist who was broadsided by a pickup truck being driven by a teenager in northern Anoka County has died, authorities said.

Kenneth W. Miller, 54, of Isanti, Minn., died Wednesday from injuries suffered Monday in the crash at Hwy. 47 and Ambassador Boulevard in St. Francis, according to the State Patrol. Miller was not wearing a helmet, the patrol said.

The pickup's driver was not hurt, the patrol said, adding that it was withholding his identity because he is a juvenile. His passenger, Ellen L. Noerenberg, 17, of St. Francis, also escaped injury.

According to the patrol, the pickup driver was heading west on Ambassador Boulevard and "did not see" the motorcycle on Hwy. 47 before hitting it broadside. There is a stop sign for drivers on Ambassador Boulevard and no traffic controls for vehicles on Hwy 47.
