Our yearlong 40th birthday celebration is coming to an end, and we're closing out the festivities by screening one of our favorite food-related movies, "Moonstruck."
Join us at the fabulous Heights Theatre on Oct. 14 at 7:30 p.m. and catch all the Oscar-winning action at Cammareri's Bakery, Cappomaggi's cheese shop and, of course, Rose Castorini's kitchen, with Cher, Nicolas Cage, Olympia Dukakis, Vincent Gardenia and Danny Aiello.
Arrive early, because Harvey Gustafson will be playing food songs on the theater's Wurlitzer organ before the movie begins, and there will be plenty of door prizes. Tickets: $8 at the door, or online (www. heightstheater.com); 3951 Central Av. NE., Columbia Heights, 763-788-9079.
