If St. Paul is too far for you to drive and/or you're under 21, Tapes 'N Tapes is offering a live webcast of its show tonight at the Turf Club, a first-ever preview of their upcoming third album in its entirety. Click here for the webcast link. Showtime is 11 p.m. Following Mark Mallman's Marathon 3, this makes two international Internet streams in just over a month at the Turf.

This is a pretty momentous occasion for the TNT crew, too, as it precedes a long winter tour that starts in January, plus it marks the quartet's transition from mega-indie label XL Recordings to true independence. The album, titled "Outside" (cover art to the right), is set to come out in January on the Tapesters' own label, ibid Recordings. They recorded the album in town at the Terrarium, taking their sweet time to get it right before frontman Josh Grier headed out to Bridgeport, Conn., to mix the 12 tracks with Peter Katis (Interpol, the National). Pitchfork.com recently debuted the first track available off the album, "Freak Out." Looking forward to hearing the rest tonight.
