Tamarion Johnson, one of four Gophers facing expulsion, transfers to junior college

Tamarion Johnson announced on Twitter that he is transferring to Arizona Western Community College.

Gophers defensive lineman Tamarion Johnson announced Monday that he is transferring to Arizona Western Community College.

Johnson, who redshirted last season, was one of four Gophers who were facing possible expulsion for their role in an alleged Sept. 2 sexual assault. The others are cornerbacks KiAnte Hardin and Ray Buford and safety Dior Johnson.

Tamarion Johnson announced his news on Twitter, saying, "I want to thank all the coaches and staff at the University of Minnesota for helping me grow as an athlete, student, and a man."
