The body of a 43-year-old man who drowned while swimming Sunday night was pulled from Lake Harriet in Minneapolis early Monday.

Meanwhile, to the north, a swimmer who drowned over the weekend in a Sherburne County lake was identified.

According to the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office, a man was swimming near a floating dock on the north side of Lake Harriet about 6:30 p.m. Sunday when he "went under and didn't come back up." A family member and a witness called 911.

Sheriff's office crews searched for two hours Sunday before suspending the search due to lightning. Around 9:45 p.m., divers were able to get back in the water.

Authorities recovered the body just after 2 a.m. Monday.

The man's identity will be released by the Hennepin County medical examiner's office.

About 4:30 p.m. Friday, the Sherburne County Sheriff's Office received a report of an unresponsive man found in Lake Mitchell.

Paul Pohlkamp, 52, of Monticello, had been swimming near a friend's boat when he was found unresponsive in the water.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
