Even though Carl Pavano was rocking a sweet new mustache, the Twins still managed to drop three of four to the Seattle Mariners after Thursday night's 4-1 loss at the hands of Felix Hernandez, who is so good he actually struck out four batters in one inning. Danny Valencia made his long-awaited big league debut last night, beating out an infield roller to third in his first ever major league at bat. Way to go buddy! I'm sure he'll enjoy this weekend's series in Oakland against the Athletics before being shipped back to AAA when Michael Cuddyer returns from the bereavement list.

Tonight, the Twins will take on recent perfect game-thrower Dallas Braden at 9:05pm with Scott Baker getting the start. The righty has earned a win in all four of his career starts against the A's, with a 3.24 ERA and 18 strikeouts.

Lefty Braden, who wears his hat super gangster style, is winless in his four starts against Minnesota, putting up a 2.81 ERA in just over 25 innings pitched.

Back to this whole pornstache deal. As much as I'd love to go on and on about how Tom Selleck it is, no one can describe it better than our buddies over at 7th Inning Stache. They're professionals.

As always, I'd love to hear your thoughts on that crappy Mariners series, the upcoming three games against Oakland, and, of course, Carl Pavano's facial hair.
