GRAND FORKS, N.D. - Another of the 11 people charged in what authorities say was a deadly synthetic drug ring in northeastern North Dakota and northwestern Minnesota has pleaded guilty.
The Grand Forks Herald reports ( http://bit.ly/RDqfsO) that 25-year-old Dillon Breen, of Grand Forks, admitted conspiring with Andrew Spofford and others to distribute hallucinogens made by Spofford, including synthetic drugs blamed in the deaths of two teenagers last summer.
Breen faces up to 20 years in prison but prosecutors will recommend the judge hand down a lighter sentence on Feb. 4.
Only two of the 11 people charged in the case have not pleaded guilty in pre-trial deals with prosecutors. Spofford pleaded guilty in the case last month.
