A 20-year-old man was arrested Sunday afternoon in Minneapolis in connection with a fatal stabbing in Bloomington.

Bloomington police said they responded about 3:30 a.m. Sunday to reports of a disturbance at a house party in the 9200 block of 5th Avenue S.

They found Samuel Enrique Martinez, 24, lying in the driveway with a stab wound. Attempts to revive him were not successful, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Bloomington police spokesman Mark Stehlik said the victim was a resident of the house but not the owner. The person arrested was a guest at the party who got into an argument with the victim, he said. The suspect was arrested about 1:45 p.m. at an address in Minneapolis.

Stehlik said police are working with the Hennepin County Medical Examiner and the Sheriff's Office to investigate the death and to identify all subjects involved in the disturbance.

"There are other people that we need to talk to, but there are no other suspects," Stehlik said.
