Three observations …
• Bring back three-game weekend interleague rivalry series! Playing four games, two at each location, from Monday through Thursday is not as exciting. And two-game series stink.
• Wily Peralta must have figured something out during his June 5 victory against the Twins, because the Milwaukee righthander is 10-1 in his past 12 starts, including that one. And he became the majors' first 14-game winner Thursday.
• I hope the renovations at Progressive Field in Cleveland include fixing the leaky windows in the pressbox.
… and two predictions
• St. Louis will run down Milwaukee and repeat as NL Central champion.
• White Sox slugger Jose Abreu will finish with 44 home runs and 114 RBI.
