For those who consider fashion an art form, Glamorama was the perfect occasion to show off their latest works.

The Macy's show, themed "Artrageous," featured music by Bruno Mars and Far East Movement and more than 40 models in ensembles by Marc Jacobs, Sonia Rykiel, Jean Paul Gaultier, Tracy Reese and Karl Lagerfeld for Impulse.

For the annual fashion fete, Twin Citians dressed up their own canvases to showcase personal style.

ERIN D'AMBROSIO

Makeup artist and stylist, Minneapolis

What are you wearing? Laundry dress, Jessica Simpson shoes and Big Buddha clutch.

What inspired your look? Nude is a really hot color right now, so I wanted something in a flesh tone that was a throwback to the 1960s, but still modern. I'm granola-y too, so I mixed in the wood shoes for the earthiness.

Favorite artist? Frida Kahlo. She's a strong female. Her art is dark and from the soul, but full of color and life. A true nonconformist.

Favorite moment of the show? Marc Jacobs. It was conservative, but still feminine.

MAX MALANAPHY

Designer, Hudson, Wis.

What are you wearing? Self-made jacket, Gap shirt, tie from Urban Outfitters, pants from Hot Topic and customized shoes from Aldo.

What inspired your look? Many designers, including the Blonds, and musicians such as Lady Gaga and David Bowie.

Why spikes? Why not? I enjoy the severity of them, as they make a bold statement in a lethal yet beautiful way.

Describe your style: Avant Garde, DIY Metro-Punk. Androgynous, as well.

What's your fashion advice? Don't let anyone tell you what to wear. Fashion is very personal, and a person should feel confident and comfortable in what they choose to wear.

REBECCA EVERSON

Recent graduate of Denison University, St. Paul

What are you wearing? Millau dress from LF in New York, LAMB shoes, Marc by Marc Jacobs clutch and necklace from Francesca's Collection.

Describe your style: Over-the-top like Marie Antoinette, but with an urban twist.

What's your fashion advice? Have fun and wear whatever you want with confidence. My roommates [in New York City] this summer taught me that it doesn't matter what others think of your clothes or makeup as long as you love it and have fun.

Favorite artist? Van Gogh. I have been to the Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam three times. One of my favorites of his is "Almond Blossom" and my dress reminds me of that painting.

AHAVEL SCHERZ

Model, Woodbury

What are you wearing? MNG by Mango dress from J.C. Penney, BCBGeneration shoes from Marshall's, Michael Kors clutch and Charlotte Russe earrings.

What inspired your look? The Red wig by It's a Cap Weaver and the Artrageous theme of the event. After I purchased the red wig, I was trying it on in front of a closet mirror and immediately got the idea for my outfit.

Describe your style: Unique. I prefer to set trends than follow them. My style is also exemplary of who I am to a very good degree -- bold.

What's your fashion advice? Be open-minded. Let your fashion mind flow into other boundaries and don't limit yourself to where you shop because you never know what you might find.

SANDY SIMMONS

Executive assistant at FAME, Minneapolis

What are you wearing? Christopher Straub dress, BCBG shoes, Lauren Merkin handbag from Neiman Marcus and jewelry from Macy's.

What inspired your look? Christopher and I are friends and I am a big follower of his. Christopher said that he would love to loan me a dress for Glamorama because he didn't have the time to design and make me a dress. Well, I was on cloud nine. I tried on this, and that was it.

Describe your style: I like to show off my figure, to be honest with you. I am a 42-year-old woman who works very hard at keeping a good figure to wear good designs.

SAMANTHA DEAN

Reimbursement manager, Minneapolis

What are you wearing? Charlie Jade romper from Macy 's, Charlotte Russe shoes and Marc Jacobs handbag.

What inspired your look? I knew I wanted something bright and colorful yet "Artrageous." The green hues go with my eyes and the leopard is loud just like my hair and personality.

Describe your style: I am in between conservative and edgy but I love playing up my hair. I love big prints, loud colors, and my favorite accessory of all -- high heels.

Favorite moment of the show? The very end of Bruno Mars' performance when all of the models and dancers joined him on stage. It was a reminder of what the show was really about, raising money for the [Children's Cancer Research Fund]. What a beautiful ending to a hip and modern show.

INI IYAMBA

Macy's district merchant for men's Minneapolis East, St. Louis Park

What are you wearing? Scotch and Soda white jeans, custom dress shirt, Versace sportcoat, JD for Elsworth hat, archival Dolce and Gabbana sandals.

What inspired your look? A combination of the "Artrageous" theme and the hat. Everything started from the fedora down.

Describe your style: Classic with an edge.

What's your fashion advice? Always understand the trend, but never follow it.

Favorite artist? Francis Bacon. Loved his use of color and his use of distortion.

Favorite moment of the show: Sonia Rykiel. She's a brilliant designer and I loved her 1960s inspiration, her use of color and her elegance.

TESS BABBITT

Student at Emerson College in Boston, from Hudson, Wis.

What are you wearing? Forever 21 dress embellished with studs, spikes and rhinestones from studsandspikes.com put on by me, Steve Madden shoes and H&M clutch.

What inspired your look? I've always been attracted to clothes with a little glitz, and my new obsession for fall is lace. So putting the two together seemed like a great idea.

Why spikes? They are just a great way to make a statement without going completely overboard.

Describe your style: I always try to incorporate a little bling and sparkle to give whatever I'm wearing a girly touch. Currently my closet is filled with a mix of lace, neutrals, and leather. My style is a mix of glam meets punk meets classic.

Favorite artist? In the context of 2D art, I would have to say Andy Warhol. Banksy is also quite an inspiring artist, in a completely different area. I love his mystique and am inspired by his messages and unconventional ways of getting people to stop and think.

NATASHA FISHER

Owner of Uffdaa Wear, from Deephaven

What are you wearing? Free People dress, Stuart Weitzman heels and vintage handbag.

What inspired your look? I am drawn to anything with a vintage look.

Describe your style: Always looking for pieces with a lot of texture and a feminine feel.

What's your style advice: Choose something that you feel amazing in, something that is easy and does not require a lot of work. Simple and clean.

Favorite part of the show? Marc Jacobs was the line I was most drawn to, but I am always amazed by the stories of the cancer survivors and their will to beat such a destructive disease. They remind us all to live a life we love.

BARBARA PEITSO RUHL

Retail sales, from St. Louis Park

What are you wearing? Silk duster, Marisa Baratelli sash and Marccain pants from DUGO, tube top from LoveCulture, sparkly jewelry from Charming Charlie and shoes from DSW.

What inspired your look? Cat burglar.

Describe your style: Classically tailored with plenty of details, always in the moment and unexpected.

Favorite artist? It's always about color and Matisse is at the top of the list.

Favorite moment of the show? The finale achieved perfection by mixing in hot fashion and beautiful models as a backdrop. One could tell Bruno Mars loved it -- it was amazing, it was genuine and I kept singing and dancing all the way to Macy's 8th floor.

ASHLEY KOEHN

Marketing manager at Clif Bar and Co., from Chicago

What are you wearing? Bar III dress from Macy's, J.Crew belt, Seychelles shoes, Marc Jacobs watch, Kate Spade bracelet and earrings and Longchamp clutch.

Describe your style: Wildly Sophisticated. From the brands I was wearing at Glamorama, you can tell I'm pure prep with a twist. I never wear shoes I cannot dance in, so you'll rarely see me in heels. Happy feet equal happy Ashley!

What's your fashion advice? Quality, not quantity. Invest and build your signature accessories and pieces. If you look at fashion icons, they all have signature items that they routinely wear. Also, finish your outfit with a signature scent. Mine is Ralph Lauren Blue.

Favorite moment of the show? The faces of the audience when the Papi show started. Jaws dropped! And there may have been drooling. Twenty gorgeous, perfectly chiseled, bronzed and (well-endowed) men in their briefs. The theater got a little warmer.

SAVANNA D'AMICO

Musician, from St. Paul

What are you wearing? 1980s lace dress -- potentially a bridal gown -- from Lula in St. Paul that was hemmed from floor length to micro mini and the sleeves were shortened, borrowed belt and earrings, BCBG shoes and cocktail rings from Fringe and Lia Sophia.

What inspired your look? The overwhelming desire to not be a sweaty mess by the end of the night and the guarantee that no one would be wearing the same outfit as me.

Describe your style: Classic Hollywood mixed with 1960s Motown.

What's your fashion advice? Don't be afraid to be an individual. Oh, and wear a good bra.

Do you have a favorite artist? I have been digging Basquiat lately for his politics, poetry and humor. The fact that when you see his pieces, you know immediately who it is. His life was fascinating and when I look at his work, I see the grit of New York and his eccentric lifestyle.

Favorite moment of the show: The dance numbers with those kids were great! Bruno Mars was perfection and, let's be honest, I almost passed out during the Papi showcase.

The "winners" have all been Turkeys, no matter the honor's name.

In this photo taken Monday, March 6, 2017, in San Francisco, released confidential files by The University of California of a sexual misconduct case, like this one against UC Santa Cruz Latin Studies professor Hector Perla is shown. Perla was accused of raping a student during a wine-tasting outing in June 2015. Some of the files are so heavily redacted that on many pages no words are visible. Perla is one of 113 UC employees found to have violated the system's sexual misconduct policies in rece
