SCAVENGING FOR COOL JEWELRY

Local designer Aimie Dukes has been making her Ferociter line of jewelry for less than a year. She's highly influenced by interior design and fashion trends, historical periods and her vintage finds. The "Swinger Collection" is a "translation of the resurgence of the Hollywood Regency style -- like a Kelly Werstler interior, if it were a necklace," Dukes said. For the record, Werstler is the quirky judge on Bravo's "Top Design."

You can find Dukes' creations such as this feather and medallion "plume" necklace ($48) and the black bead "crest" necklace ($38) online (www. ferociterstyle.com). They are bold enough to turn a white tee and jeans into an outfit.

As part of MN Fashion's Fall Fashion Weekend festivities, she's having a style scavenger hunt. Look on Dukes' website daily starting Wednesday for clues. One lucky winner will score a necklace.

Speaking of Fashion Weekend, there are all sorts of shows and parties from Wednesday through next Sunday. For a full schedule, see www.mnfashion.com.
