Before stylish kids go back to school, they have some homework to do: studying up on what to wear. We photographed a few Lake Country School students to show their new looks for hitting the books. Here's a preview of their inspired fashion for back-to-school 2012.MAE BODA

Describe your style: "I'm not your typical girly girl."

Favorite class: "I really like writing and reading, so English, I guess."

Excited to go back to school? "Yes, I'm entering the junior high and a lot of big things are happening. It's all new."

JULIA LUCAS5th grade

Wearing: Columbia raincoat, leggings from J.Crew, boots from Shoe Zoo and LeSportsac bag.

Favorite store: J. Crew.

Favorite class: Reading or art.

Hair tip from her mom: "Always carry a binder on your wrist."

Future plans: "I want a job where I get to wear sweatpants everyday -- except for summer."

INGRID ZOLL

7TH GRADE

Wearing: Her mom's old shirt, a handmade skirt, cardigan from Savers, Payless shoes, bag from Target.

Favorite stores: Old Navy, Nordstrom Rack, Macy's, H&M. "I love Savers -- I found three pieces of Abercrombie and Fitch that are so cool."

Favorite classes: "Art and reading. I'm good at math, but I don't like it."

Future plans: "I want to be famous -- I either want to be a fashion designer or an interior designer or something I haven't thought of yet."

Wahl Face the Tour at the State Fair: Men may want to visit the Wahl mobile barbershop for free facial hair trims and styling ideas.
