With a cast that appears to be mostly in their 20s, the Tony-winning musical "In the Heights" seems a natural for budget-minded students. On Wednesday night, a throng queued up outside the Orpheum Theatre in Minneapolis an hour before the 7:30 p.m. curtain to buy student-rush seats at $20. Karen Nelson of the Hennepin Theatre Trust said all who waited (and had a valid student ID) were able to get seats at that price. Regular tickets start at $28 and go up to $78. The show runs through Sunday, with 2 shows on both Saturday and Sunday.

As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
