If you've found lower prices locally on decorative pillows, futon covers, duvets and sheets than at SIS Covers (6707 Shingle Creek Pkwy., Brooklyn Center, 763-560-0969, www.siscovers.com), it's probably been at a garage sale. During their infrequent warehouse sales, prices are about 80 percent below retail. Sale prices include 18- or 20-inch-square decorative pillows and bolsters for $5; queen- and king-sized duvet covers at $25 or $30; shams $2, and high-end bedding sets with duvet covers, two shams and two toss pillows for $39 to $199.

The sale runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Saturday. For a sampling of fabric choices, go to the website.

Cost Plus World Market returns soonWhen was the last time a national retailer left the Twin Cities, only to return three years later? That's what's happening with Cost Plus World Market stores.

In 2009, Cost Plus closed all of six of its Minnesota locations, but the chain now plans to reopen its Roseville and Bloomington stores.

The Roseville store's grand opening is set for Sept. 13. The Bloomington location, next to Michael's at I-494 and France Av. S., will reopen at a date to be announced. Other Twin Cities store reopenings could not be confirmed.

New store taking place of Brand Name DealsBrand Name Deals at 1000 E. Moore Lake Dr. in Fridley has closed, but the location will reopen as a Salvation Army this year or early next year, said regional manager Tom Canfield. The store will include a mix of new merchandise and used goods.
