Goodthings warehouse saleWhen Pink sings "What's the dealio?" in "Raise Your Glass," she probably wasn't thinking of the Goodthings "deal-i-o of the decade" sale Thursday through Sunday. But don't let that stop you from checking the company's largest sale in its history, with more than $100,000 in inventory. Save 50 to 80 percent on bath products, bar and kitchen accessories, candles, women's clothing and shoes, baby items and jewelry. Brands that rarely go on sale will be discounted, including Thymes, JM Paquet upholstered furniture, Janna Ugone lamps, Catstudio pillows, towels and drinking glasses of the 50 states, and Ron Schmidt framed dog prints. Purchasers also get a coupon for 20 percent off any regular-priced item at the White Bear Lake or Maple Grove locations, good through the weekend.

The sale will be held in a rented space in downtown White Bear Lake (2223 4th St., 651-426-8006, www.shopgoodthings.com) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Space is tight, so strollers aren't allowed.

Warehouse sale returns to Bachman'sThe previous Bachman's warehouse sale was in 2005. The garden and gifts retailer replaced it with Lemons & Leftovers departments in most of its larger stores. The latest twist, called the Lemons & Leftovers warehouse sale, will feature current merchandise including containers, pots, gift and home items, vintage pieces and selected live plants. Special-purchase items brought in for the sale include patio furniture, holiday wrap, ribbon and women's scarves. The sale starts at noon Thursday and continues during regular store hours through Sunday in the nursery (6010 Lyndale Av. S., Mpls., 612-861-7600).

A second sale at the Cedar Acres location (23004 Cedar Av. S., Farmington, 952-469-3833) includes stone edging, wall block, pavers, fountains, statuary, tropicals and garden decor. The Farmington sale also starts at noon Thursday. Additional markdowns will be taken on selected items each day at both locations.

If you're not a member of Bachman's eClub, sign up at the website (www.bachmans.com). One benefit is that members get early access to the sale, but it's too late to get the pass this time.

Bedding bargains at Bloomie'sThere are plenty of good deals at Bloomingdale's home sale Friday and Saturday (Mall of America, 952-883-2747), including all towels 40 percent off and all down bedding and pillows 50 percent off, but let's narrow the sale to one good sheet. Charisma used to be a wonderful bedding line until the parent company went under in 2003. Since then the brand has been revived and refined. The sheet that comes closest to the old classic is the Lexington, a 400-thread-count percale. It has a crisp feel, not the satiny softness of a sateen, and a generous 22-inch depth. The feel and the price are rich. A queen flat or fitted sheet is on sale for $60 each, regularly $95. The king-size sheet is on sale for $75.

If you prefer softness over crispness, try Charisma's 600-thread-count sateen called Avery for $80 per sheet (queen) or $119 (king) on sale.
