Evan Williams has been putting up incredible numbers this season, but the DeLasalle senior quarterback will miss the last two games of the regular season. He has a broken bone in his left (non-throwing) hand and is expected to return for the postseason.

Williams, who was moved from running back to quarterback this season, has rushed for a state-best 1,474 yards in six games, an average of 246 per game. He ranks 13th in passing yards with a total of 1,110 (average of 185). He has completed 52 of 83 passes for 62.6 percent.

Williams has received scholarship offers from Minnesota and Wyoming, with Wisconsin and Northern Iowa expected to make offers soon.

Unbeaten DeLaSalle plays Breck tonight and closes the regular season against Minnehaha Academy next Wednesday. The Islanders are in Class 3A, Section 4, and section playoffs will begin Oct. 27.
