Wanda Sykes

Fresh off her stint on "Blackish" and newly cast in another ABC sitcom, "Dream Team" (from the writers of "Will & Grace" ), this comedy vet might be on her last stand-up tour for a while. She's among the best in the business. One of the few "Curb Your Enthusiasm" cast members who could stand up to Larry David, she earned an Emmy nomination for her first HBO comedy special in 2006 and has fostered other comics on "Last Comic Standing" and OWN's "Herlarious." Presumably, she'll have a thing or two to say about our current political freak show and update us on raising twin sons, along with who knows what else. 'The Fantasticks'

Nautilus Music Theatre doesn't often do classic musicals, but it is putting on a twist on this story of romance and love that centers on a boy, a girl and their fathers. A high-wattage cast re-imagines those roles, with the dynamic Baldwin sisters, Christina Baldwin and Jennifer Baldwin Peden, playing the fathers while an older couple — Wendy Lehr and Gary Briggle, who are married in real life — depict the young lovers. Nautilus' Ben Krywosz stages the show, which is based on Edmond Rostand's "Les Romanesques" and ran for a record 42 years off-Broadway. (7:30 p.m. Fri., 2 & 7:30 p.m. Sat., 7:30 p.m. Sun-Tue. Ends April 19. 308 Prince St., St. Paul. $30-$40. brownpapertickets.com or 651-298-9913.)

FILE -- A rent deposit slot at an apartment complex in Tucker, Ga., on July 21, 2020. As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
