Opening
Kevin Hansen and Steven Meerdink, founders of Minneapolis Musical Theatre, are back on stage together for the first time in six years. This small musical focuses on two childhood friends whose relationship withstands several rough spots. The piece, which will be directed by Christine Karki for MMT, features music and lyrics by Neil Bartram and a book by Brian Hill. Hansen and Meerdink, who founded MMT 20 years ago, played the lead roles in "La Cage aux Folles" in 2006. Hansen says this is his swan song with the troupe; he's retiring in June and "moving into the next chapter of my journey."
