St. Paul police have arrested and expect to charge a 54-year-old man in the death of a woman whose body was found Saturday evening in a St. Paul Âapartment building.
The suspect was being held at the Ramsey County Law Enforcement Center Sunday night.
Police said Sunday that the victim was married and investigators have determined that it was not a domestic situation.
The Ramsey County medical examiner is conducting an autopsy on the woman, whose name probably will be released Monday, said Sgt. Paul Paulos, public information officer for the St. Paul Police Department. He also expects charges Monday against the suspect. He said police are seeking no other suspects.
Officers were called to the 1400 block of Minnehaha Avenue East to assist St. Paul fire medics around 5:30 p.m., according to police.
"We got there, and she was dead," Paulos said.
