A job fair to connect teens and adults with employers and employment resources will be held at Oxford Community Center on Saturday, Feb. 27 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. In addition to meeting with potential employers, attendees can take part in mock interviews, write resumes and have their photo taken by a professional photographer to use on social media sites.

"This job fair is about much more than connecting job seekers with potential employment opportunities," said Mike Hahm, St. Paul Parks and Recreation Director. "We want attendees to not only find a job with us or one of our partners, but also to be better prepared for future employment opportunities. Knowing that more than half of all employers look at applicants' social media profiles prior to extending an employment offer, we are including an opportunity at the job fair to receive a free professional digital photo for use on social media sites."

St. Paul Parks and Recreation, the YMCA, the Science Museum of Minnesota and the Minnesota Children's Museum will be some of the employers planning to offer jobs at the fair. Attendees are encouraged to dress professionally. Those who already have resumes should bring several copies to share with employers.

The Oxford Community Center is located at 270 N Lexington Pkwy in St. Paul.
