The Boss is keeping us waiting. Minnesota was not included on the first leg of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band's tour, announced this morning. The trek will kick off March 8 in Atlanta and heads over to Europe for the summer, winding down July 31 in Finland. Twin Cities fans likely won't get a date until the fall, although there is some speculation the crew will be announced as part of the Lollapalooza lineup Aug. 3-5 in Chicago, which could mean a Minnesota date around the same time.

In the meantime, the nearest the tour gets to the Upper Midwest is Detroit on April 12. Among the highlights on the rest of the itinerary are an April 29 gig at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and April 6 and April 9 dates at Madison Square Garden (which could turn into a week of shows there). Springsteen's 17th album, "Wrecking Ball," arrives March 6.
