LILY ALLEN

Saturday: After canceling most of her U.S. tour her first time around, in 2007, despite the success of her single "Smile," England's healthiest tabloid star and MySpace's most famous blogger is finally set to make her Twin Cities debut. The cheeky, boy-bashing dance-pop singer, 23, was a tad intoxicated but nonetheless intoxicating at her big American coming-out gig at the South by Southwest festival in 2007, where her reggae-lite grooves and smarmy lyrics made for a true party atmosphere. She got a little more serious on her relatively well-received follow-up album, "It's Not Me, It's You" -- but clearly not too serious, what with the refreshingly straight-ahead song title "[Expletive] You" and such Madonna-worthy lines as, "I'm a weapon of massive consumption/But it's not my fault, it's how I'm programmed to function." (7:30 p.m. Sat. $25. First Avenue, 7th St. and 1st Av. N., Mpls. Sold out. 612-338-8388.)
