The top-ranked Gophers volleyball team swept Northwestern on Sunday at the Sports Pavilion, taking a 25-17, 25-21, 25-17 victory to begin a challenging week.
The Gophers (13-2, 5-1 Big Ten) hit .322 to .172 for Northwestern (7-11, 0-6) and had nine blocks to the Wildcats' three.
The Gophers will play No. 2 Wisconsin on Wednesday in Madison and No. 21 Michigan State on Saturday in East Lansing.
