April 13, 2013 at 3:13AM

Minnesota taxpayers affected by this week's damaging snow and ice storms in southwestern Minnesota have more time to file their state taxes, the state Department of Revenue announced Friday.

Affected taxpayers have until next Friday to file and pay taxes without penalty.

For more information, taxpayers can call 651-556-3003 or 1-800-657-3909.

The extension applies to state taxes, not federal taxes.
