Two twisters that zipped through far southeastern Minnesota Sunday were rated EF2 by National Weather Service teams working out of LaCrosse, Wis. One damaged several farmsteads on a 28-mile run from near Chester, Iowa, to just north of Harmony, Minn. The other damaged a home and trees in Hokah, Minn., and several farmsteads in the area.
An EF2 from the same outbreak also hit nearby LaCrosse, Wis., damaging several residences and businesses. Further east in Wisconsin, an EF2 a damaged some homes in Tomah, Wis., and a rural cranberry business, but otherwise tore up mostly woods. - Bill McAuliffe
