MARCH 17

Check welfare. Officers responded to a home on the 300 block of 1st Street W. to check the welfare of a man's mother. The man said he received a suspicious phone call supposedly coming from "a Mexican drug cartel" about his mother and he wanted to make sure she was OK. Officers checked the woman's home and no one was there. An officer re-contacted the reporting party and he said he learned that his mother had gone to the zoo.

MARCH 19

Suspicious activity. An officer observed a man walking near Rice Street S. and 1st Street E. and he appeared to be acting erratically. After the officer spoke with the man, it was determined he was just singing along with headphones on.

MARCH 22

Drugs. Officers stopped a vehicle for speeding at Broadway Street N. and 4th Street. The driver, a 20-year-old man, was arrested for two charges of felony fifth degree controlled substances, minor in possession of alcohol, possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle, allowing an open container, and speeding. A 20-year-old male passenger was cited for misdemeanor minor in possession of alcohol and misdemeanor minor consumption of alcohol. A 19-year-old male passenger was cited for misdemeanor minor possession of alcohol and misdemeanor possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle. A 20-year-old female passenger was cited with misdemeanor minor in possession of alcohol.

WEEK OF MARCH 19-25

Theft. Cash and a watch were missing after contractors did some work at a home on the 16000 block of Iris Court.

Warrant. A 27-year-old man was arrested on a warrant following a traffic stop at Judicial Road and 185th Street E.

Drunken driving. A 23-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving following a traffic stop at Kenwood Trail and 175th Street W.

Theft. A 24-year-old man was arrested for theft after he was caught stealing merchandise from Wal-Mart, 20710 Keokuk Av. This was his 16th time stealing from Wal-Mart.

PRIOR LAKE

MARCH 25

Drugs. A 17-year-old Prior Lake boy was cited for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia on the 2900 block of Fox Hollow NW.

SHAKOPEE

MARCH 21

Driving violations. A 15-year-old Shakopee girl was arrested on Bluestem Avenue and Vierling Drive for criminal vehicular operation, obstructing the legal process and not having a driver's license.

MARCH 22

Drugs. A 17-year-old Shakopee boy was cited for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and underage consumption of alcohol on Mystic Lake Drive and Eagle Creek Boulevard.

MARCH 24

Drugs. A 41-year-old Shakopee man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, possession of counterfeit money and for an ineligible person in possession of a firearm on the 1500 block of Harvest Lane.

MARCH 25

Drugs. A 24-year-old Bloomington man was cited for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding following a traffic stop at Highway 169 and Spencer Street.

MARCH 26

Obstruction. A 17-year-old Shakopee boy was arrested for obstructing the legal process, trespassing, possession of alcohol and underage alcohol consumption on the 900 block of Princeton Avenue.

Burglary. A 30-year-old Shakopee man was arrested for burglary on the 500 block of 3rd Avenue.
