Sources: Twins nearing three-year, $21 million agreement with Willingham

The Twins made a bigger offer to Michael Cuddyer, but has turned its sights to Josh Willingham.

The Twins are very close to an agreement with free agent outfielder Josh Willingham on a three-year, $21 million deal, two people familiar with the negotiations said tonight.

An agreement with Willingham would signal the end of the Michael Cuddyer era for the Twins. Their final offer to Cuddyer was for three-years, $24 million.
