Gold Cup: Jamaica vs. Canada, 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Fox Sports 2. This could be Canada's best chance to make a dent at the Gold Cup in years; Cyle Larin, the first pick in last year's MLS draft, is a bright spot for a team seeing a few good signs after a decade of terrible results. Jamaica is locked in a dispute with its own organization over player pay.

Gold Cup: Mexico vs. Guatemala, 8 p.m. Sunday, Fox Sports 2. Mexico beat Guatemala 3-0 in May in an exhibition, but this is a different venue and a different tournament. A point or better for Guatemala will go a long way toward helping it qualify for the knockout round and would be the latest poor showing from Mexico.

MLS: Toronto at New York City, 2 p.m. Sunday, ESPN. Toronto appears to be heading for the playoffs for the first time but has to make do without USA stars Jozy Altidore and Michael Bradley. NYC eagerly awaits the arrivals of Frank Lampard and Andrea Pirlo in mid-July, but David Villa has six goals in six games.

MLS: Sporting Kansas City at Vancouver, 8 p.m. Sunday, MLS Live. Kansas City is sixth in the West, but judged by points per game it is the best team in MLS. Vancouver, second in the West, lost last week at league-worst Colorado. After five consecutive road games due to the Women's World Cup, the Whitecaps will be happy to be home.
