Tonight...Breezy...snow. Areas of blowing and drifting snow. Snow may be heavy at times. Snow accumulation of 4 to 6 inches. Lows 10 to 15. North winds 15 to 25 mph.

Oh goody. Snow, wind and cold must mean that the winter sports season has arrived in Minnesota. Glancing through tonight's basketball schedule, there is lots of action scheduled all over the state this evening. Here are a few that stand out...

Boys' basketball

#7 3A Minneapolis Patrick Henry at Holy Angels/ Holy Angels coach Larry McKenzie led Henry to four state titles.

#3 1A Minnesota Transitions Charter at #6 2A Minnehaha Academy/ Should be a good test for Transitions.

Girls' basketball

#4 4A Chaska at #9 4A Hopkins/ Matchup of a relatively new power vs. a traditional power.
