This is some pretty interesting stuff. Back in February, the mid-Atlanticregion got pummeled by one snowstorm after another, and many new snowfallrecords were established. In one storm alone at the beginning of February, thenorthern and western suburbs of Baltimore got more than 25 inches of snow, andthe Philadelphia area had similar amouts! In March, the storm track was roughly the same, but cold air just ran out. Theresult was a tremendous amount of rain especially in New England but virtuallyno snow at all.How often do you see three major storms off the mid-Atlantic coast in March andnot one of them produces any snow from the Virginias to southern New England? Idon't think I have ever seen that before. When storms turn northward into theGreat Lakes, you expect it to rain in the East, but not when storms are off thecoast.

Now, snow is the farthest thing from anyone's mind. A very warm weather patternhas taken hold and temperatures will be in the 70s and 80s throughout themid-Atlantic region Friday.
