Crystal police are advising customers who used an ATM at the TCF Bank on Bass Lake Road in June to have their credit and debit cards replaced after receiving numerous reports of fraud.

Police believe a skimming machine capable of capturing users' card information may have been placed on June 8-9 and June 28-29 on the ATM at the bank at 6830 Bass Lake Road.

"We have received several reports regarding debit card fraud over the last few hours," the department said Monday in a Facebook post. "Please check your accounts for fraudulent activity."

Police advised customers who used the machine to view their statements carefully and report fraudulent activity.

"Please be proactive against this type of theft and contact TCF Bank to have your debit card replaced," the posting read. "If you believe your account or card to be compromised, please contact TCF. Also please contact the Crystal Police Department to report any fraud occurring within our jurisdiction."
