The Sixth District race is showing no signs of slowing down.

Despite breaking a litany of Minnesota fundraising records, Rep. Michele Bachmann and her DFL challenger Tarryl Clark have picked up their momentum at a staggering pace since the beginning of the month.

Bachmann raised $492,000 between July 1 and July 21, while Clark pulled in $341,000, according to FEC filings released on Thursday.

To put that in perspective, Bachmann raised more in three weeks than any Minnesota candidate except for Clark raised between April and July.

Bachmann's total fundraising take has now reached $4.6 million. Clark has raised $2.4 million. Bachmann carries about a $2 million cash advantage.

Among Bachmann's expenses was more than $28,000 for polling, performed by Public Opinion Strategies. Clark also spent about $34,000 on "public opinion research."
