It's been speculated for weeks, but former San Francisco 49ers coach Mike Singletary told ESPN radio today that he will join the Vikings staff as linebackers coach.

Singletary said he will also carry the title of assistant head coach to Leslie Frazier, his former Chicago Bears teammate and close friend.

With Singletary in charge of linebackers, Fred Pagac is expected to be promoted to defensive coordinator. He filled that role after Frazier became interim head coach.
