'Fox' tale comes to life The Oscar-nominated "Fantastic Mr. Fox," Wes Anderson's stop-action adaptation of Roald Dahl's children's novel about a fox doing what a fox does best, honors the original text while adding a healthy layer of Andersonian whimsy and indie humor. It will appeal to children and adults alike. The impressive voice-over actors performing Anderson's snappy dialogue include George Clooney, Meryl Streep and Bill Murray. But the richly imagined characters that appear as if straight out of a child's imagination are the film's main assets. And on the DVD and Blu-ray (Fox, $30-$40), viewers can't help but be awed after watching two short featurettes on the painstaking animation process.
