Sly isn’t quite in top shape

In “Grudge Match,” Sylvester Stallone stars as Henry “Razor” Sharp, a former light heavyweight champ who inexplicably fled the sport in his heyday, avoiding a tie-breaking fight with longtime rival Billy “The Kid” McDonnen (Robert De Niro). Sly’s still got it — when it comes to action.

Razor is lured out of retirement for the bout he evaded three decades earlier, and all the requisite training scenes — the jabbing and jogging, raw-egg-swilling and truck-pulling — are nearly as exhilarating as they were in 1976. All these years later, the 67-year-old Stallone still looks the part with his tattooed barrel chest and ability to believably land a punch.

His acting, however, is a little rusty. With his garbled delivery, he never was a paragon of emotional depth, but now his frozen face only exacerbates his shortcomings when the comedic drama turns serious.

The DVD (Warner, $29) includes deleted scenes. The Blu-ray ($36) adds several featurettes and an alternate opening and endings.

Get power on the go

New Trent’s rugged PowerPak Ultra ($70, is a portable USB battery designed to charge portable devices in the most extreme environments.

The PowerPak Ultra’s rugged exterior allows it to survive most drops, and it can be temporarily submerged in water for up to 30 minutes. Beware that the battery is waterproof only when the USB ports are closed and not in use. It’s always a good thing to keep portable electronic gadgets away from water.

A pair of USB ports can be used simultaneously to charge tablets, smartphones or just about any other portable, USB-charging gadget.

The PowerPak Ultra is available in gray or orange, measures 5.6 by 3.1 by 1.1 inches and weighs 13 ounces.
