Artist Jewelry Mart

Walker Art Center's semiannual Artist Jewelry Mart returns just in time for Mother's Day. The one-day event gathers 25 top Midwestern jewelers, such as Helen Wang, Annika Kaplan, Tia Keobounpheng, Karin Jacobson and Yen Chee. New additions to the mart include Sarah Burnett's unique cast-concrete creations, Lindsay Locatelli's sculptural carved-wood designs and Emily Tempte's eclectic beaded necklaces. Houseware pop-up

Your grandmother's silver gets a funky, modern revamp with Julia Moss Designs, a new line of one-of-a-kind housewares by Minnetonka entrepreneur Moss. The line, which was inspired by Moss' vintage-collector mother, is created from vintage silver cake stands, candelabra, bowls, dishes, trays and platters, hand-finished with a high-gloss, scratch-resistant, powder-color coating. On Thursday, Moss debuts a temporary Uptown storefront with a grand opening party that includes complimentary hair and makeup touchups, sweet bites and floral arrangements from Indulge & Bloom. (4-8 p.m. Thu. 2508 Hennepin Av. S., Mpls. www.juliamossdesigns.com.)
