A 26-year-old woman crashed her car into a tree and was killed while exiting a highway in Shakopee on Wednesday. Her 4-year-old son was hospitalized, authorities said.
The crash occurred shortly before 5 p.m. Wednesday on a rain-slickened ramp from eastbound Hwy. 101 to southbound County Road 21, according to the State Patrol.
Killed was Trachanda L. Hamilton, of Shakopee, the patrol said. Her son Elijah was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center with what were described as minor injuries.
