Shakopee homicide victim is identified

A man who was fatally shot at a home in Shakopee on Tuesday evening was identified Thursday as Aaron J. Moran, 32.

The Hennepin County medical examiner's office listed his address as the home in the 800 block of Prairie Street S., where he was killed.

The Shakopee Police Department didn't say Thursday whether an arrest had been made in the case. None had been made as of Wednesday, when Capt. Craig Robson said the victim apparently had a prior relationship with the armed robber who repeatedly shot him.

"This doesn't appear to be a random incident, and the general public is not in jeopardy or in harm's way due to this incident," Robson said. "There appears to be some kind of a relationship at some level."
